Charcoal under the flame creates a reducing atmosphere for a cleaner soldering environment. Reflects heat back to the work for maximum soldering results. Carve this soft surface or embed items into it for soldering. Retain the block shape by wrapping the sides tightly with binding wire before use.  Excellent for firing silver clay and soldering.
