Want to add strength to your silver clay work? Every wondered how to get a good bond between sterling and silver clay?
Sometimes you need the strength of sterling to combine with your silver clay creations. When this is not done properly the bond between the metals comes apart. Overheat the sterling and this will become brittle and snap off! Come and learn how to fuse metal clay to sterling successfully without the need for soldering. In this particular class we will make one project combining sterling and metal clay components and learn how to polish both metals to a professional finish. This will include some basic silversmithing techniques.
Held at Rosetti Hall in the peaceful village of Holmer Green, Bucks. The centre has a fully equipped kitchen so please feel free to bring your own lunch alternatively there are a few local shops providing lunch. Accommodation is a 10—15 minute car journey from the centre for those wishing to take an overnight stay. Listings are sent out with course confirmation.
